A COOL YOU
“Cool People Share These 15 Traits” This article and definition defines what is A COOL YOU, being cool, and the goal for a happier, cooler, person. Dr. Julie Gurner and Dr. Sabrina Romanoff define what a cool person is in the Bustle.com (www.bustle.com/wellness/cool-people-traits) article: 15 Traits Of People Who Are Effortlessly Cool.
“A ‘cool’ person is generally someone whose attitude and behaviors are composed but seen as uniquely their own,” says clinical psychologist Dr. Julie Gurner.
Coolness is also about accepting who you are, showing up authentically, being kind to everyone — the list goes on. “These qualities can change the way in which you not only relate to others but also how you perceive the world,” explains Dr. Sabrina Romanoff, a clinical psychologist. “It will also take on a bidirectional effect where you will be able to become invigorated by this perspective both internally and externally.”
BEAUTIFUL BEGINNINGS AND THE BELIEFS THAT DEFINE
Humans have an amazing sense of resilience, recovery, and discovery. Each day is a fresh beginning. Each moment we can close our eyes and see a new view of the world we want to see. We can redirect our thoughts to focus on what we are looking for each day. We … are able to see beauty and redirect our thoughts to become beliefs in what we want.
Mel Robbins introduced the “Why am I suddenly seeing Hearts Everywhere?” theory in her book “The High 5 Habit” to explain to her daughter that you can change your brain and how you see the world. As you look for the hearts in your daily life you can become aware of your mind’s ability to change focus.
“… let’s train your mind by playing a simple game that changes the way you see the world in real time. Every day, look for naturally occurring heart shapes in the world around you…. “
“… you can make your brain work for you by telling it what is important to you.”
Mel Robbins has written many books and has available podcasts dedicated to positive psychology. Her work in behavioral change has been translated to 36 languages. See www.melrobbins.com, for her books, and youtube.com/melrobbins for her free podcasts.
Understanding the goals of A COOL YOU and shared by others all over the world. You are not alone in your quest for happiness.
It is important that you spend time understanding the brain, neuropsychology, positive emotions, and how the mind can be trained to experience happiness.
“We are born with brains that are genetically hardwired with certain instinctual behavior patterns, we are predisposed mentally, emotionally and physically to respond to our environment in ways that enable us to survive.” The Art of Happiness, HIS HOLINESS THE DALAI LAMA and HOWARD C. CUTLER, M.D.
Name an activity of what you like to do that gives you positive feelings. Find what you were doing in your past that gave you a sense of happiness. Keep a daily journal and learn to explore your feelings, what makes you flow.
“When you’re working with expansion and begin living as your Authentic Self, you will notice synchronicities, signs, intuition, gut feelings, and pings that are the Universe’s way of alerting you to pay attention to something in your life.” Untapped Magic, by Chole Pant
COACHING, COLLABORATION, AND CREATING HAPPINESS
Coaching is a workshop between an individual and collaborative community. The goal is to define happiness and process positive psychology to retrain the brain to focus on an engaging life. Several experts suggest that community collaboration is a key to happiness.
MARTIN SELIGMAN is a professor who studied, teaches, and authors books about positive psychology and happiness. Happiness and well-being lead to a healthier life. SELIGMEN teaches that the five pillars that influence well-being are:
- Positive emotions: Joy, Fun, Hope, Inspiration, Pride, Serenity, and Wonder.
- Engagement: With a spouse or loved one, within your family, as part of a club, community, etc.
- Positive Human Relationships
- A Meaning to life and sense of purpose: Having a goal, objectives and projects that serve a higher purpose.
- Accomplishments: Reaching your objectives, seeing your projects through to the end.
- “The number one factor of being happy is the quality and depth of your relationships.”

DANCING SOLO AND WITH DESTINY HELPERS
Pleasure, positive emotions, awareness of feelings and associating them with actions, creates an environment where dancing with yourself is an inclusive and defining moment. Doing anything without shame is a good goal. Having a dance in your soul is a timeless and faithful companion. Dancing frees the body to just relax, enjoy, and create a happier environment no matter where you live, where you are, and enjoy who you are with.
Destiny helpers are everyone and everywhere. Destiny helpers are defined as someone who is divinely connected to your destiny, in the article “Seven Things You Should Know About Destiny Helpers” by BELINDA ENOMA. A Destiny helper crosses your path to help you achieve what you are predestined to do with your life.
The analysis of your character strengths provides a focus to see the natural direction and of your spirit. Coaching allows you to free the part of yourself that is honest and grateful, gaining awareness of your inner strengths and gifts. Having awareness of your gifts, focusing on your attributes, being in alignment with your hopes, dreams, and accomplishments, allows you to have a healthier and more positive future.
Grow your awareness of your destiny helpers so you can recognize them in yourself and others. Each day for a week, list three things that made you feel good. List things that made you feel aware of your destiny. Be aware when you become a destiny helper to others. Acknowledge when you experience a destiny helper that touches your life.
EMPOWERMENT WITH GROWTH AND PURPOSEFUL WONDER
Learn to grow your dreams to reality. Empower yourself with lucid dreaming and build a relationship with your purposeful wonder. Take the time to answer the questions that you have in your life and that come to you in your sleep. Be aware of your feelings by keeping a journal of the feelings you have in the moments. Write down the words, do not try to analyze them. Learn to live in the moments of your life that define your feelings.
There are many paths to manifesting empowerment. Coaching explores your path.
Lucid dreaming is the awareness that you are dreaming. You, and you alone, are in control of your life and you need to be aware of your dreams. While you dream, allow yourself to be aware of the feelings, react to the dream to navigate your feelings. Embrace how your dreams shape reality and how reality shapes your dreams. Life brings choices. Coaching allows you to anticipate the future that you are empowered to experience.
FOUNDATIONAL FUN AND FINDING YOUR PATH
Happiness is choice. We all have a past of learned emotions. You do not have to spend a lot of time exploring your past or guessing what could, should or would be. Live in the present moment.
Positive psychology and happiness coaching have been studied for hundreds of years. In the 1600’s BLAISE PASCLE observed;
“We never keep to the present. We recall the past; we anticipate the future as if we found it too slow in coming and were trying to hurry it up, or we recall the past as if to stay its too rapid flight…Let each of us examine his thoughts; he will find them wholly concerned with the past or the future. We almost never think of the present, and if we do think of it, it is only to see what light it throws on our plans for the future. (Pensées, 47).” BLAISE PASCAL (1623-1662), Foundation for Economic Freedom, Pascal on Why Living in the Present Is so Hard
Finding your path involves understanding that developing positive emotions requires time, training, and restructuring of your current feelings. Have the choice to have a future with some fun and happiness. The fastest way to find your path is by understanding positive emotion and that takes time, training, and restructuring, of your present moments. Awareness, concentrated exercises, identifying joy, creates a foundation where happiness can thieve.
GRACE FOR GROWTH
Come to yourself each day with grace for growth. Become more aware of your moments and feelings and be more grateful for a place of peace in your life. Give yourself growth with some positive affirmations. We will help you connect to positive affirmations that resonate with you.
Make yourself your best friend, be open, honest and careful each day. Your message to yourself can be influential to your dose of daily happiness. A relationship with anyone else has to start with us. Forgive and forget is for amateurs – positive psychology teaches how to understand, train the brain, and prepare for a reality of achievements and accomplishments. Happiness begins with finding the reflection of good goals and exciting understandings about ourselves. Positive thinking leads to positive behaviors. Positive behaviors are the force that grows into happier relationships. Be positive with ourselves and with others. It takes six months to redirect your brain waves from the old patterns to the new patterns – give it time. Give yourself grace. You deserve to start each day with grace.
HAVING INTENTION AND HUMOR
Working on positive psychology and happiness takes intention. It is not easy, and it is emotional, analytical, and involved. It takes time to grow and to accomplish goals. Do the work and achieve the result you want.
Step by step. Do not fall backwards or trip forward. See the step you are on clearly, meditate on it, draw a picture of it, write words of graffiti all over it, do the work. Step by step. You will climb the journey of positivity to the new heights of happiness.
Understanding your top five characteristics of strength shows you where humor lands and how your individual personality rates humor. This is nothing to laugh about. How you communicate, and function within your style, does not define you. If you have goals to grow your ability to laugh, feel joy, and enjoy others, try to smile often. Laugh often. Studies show that smiles change the day for yourself and for others. Smiles lead to happiness.
IMAGINATION AND INCLUSION
Worrying about the world you want to live in is not really that helpful. What is helpful is to draft a blueprint of the life you see for yourself. Live in your imagination where your dreams are inclusive of your passions.
Coaching creates dialogue and awareness about what makes you flow. Flow is the moment of your life where you are living your passions, time stops, enjoyment overcomes your every sense, you want to live there. Living in your flow starts with prioritizing your life to meet that moment intentionally.
Imagination is not a quite dream. Imagination is purposeful and thoughtful intentional moments to help you achieve your goals and accomplishments. Use your intentional activities to give your life more moments of flow. Grow the flow!
JUSTIFY THE JOURNEY
How you came to explore a happiness journey is not the focus of positive psychology. I believe everyone who wants to study positive psychology wants to find happiness.
A COOL YOU gives you access to a lot of free information. The access to intentional living, mindfulness, lucid dreams, positive emotions, meditation, efficient coaching, and spiritual awaking all gives you time to assess your desires.
Justify the journey you are on by stopping daily and giving thanks that you have a choice. You have control of your life. You can take the steps to live a happier and healthier life. Happiness coaching is a journey. You can walk it alone. You can join the community of positive psychology. You can trust a happiness coach to justify the journey you are on. The choices are all yours. Step by step is the only way to go.
LOVING YOURSELF AND JOY
You were not born loving yourself – or were you? Babies show us unconditional love. Something happens along the way. Children grow up asking strangers to be their best friends. Children come home from their first days of school chatting it up about their best friends but not knowing their names. When do we start loving others? When do we stop loving ourselves? It is the pathways of our brain that lead the pathway to joy. Where we path our emotions to find joy and happiness can be retrained. The goal of finding joy, happiness and being A COOL YOU is a solid step in the right direction. The journey is to a happier you.
How to be cool is not just a word we say about others. It is the life of a person who has the qualities of being unique, themselves, being authentic, being kind, and having an openness to show we perceive and change our world and the lives of others.
OPEN YOURSELF AND ENGAGE IN THE POSITIVE
Explore all you need to experience in your pathway to happiness. It is worth the ride. A Happiness Coach will anticipate that the exercises are challenging, the work is real, the goal of changing your pathways of your brain to lead to emotional intelligence is real and can be really hard.
Studies show that by opening and engaging in positive psychology leads to a happier and healthier life. You will not be alone. Positive Psychology is trending. There are many, many podcasts that can touch you daily to influence your desires and decisions about how you live.
Daily, I get emails about positive psychology from the very interesting Mel Robbins. Her YouTube blogs are free as are her emails where she says she loves me. I love getting these emails. I was introduced to her books while on my positive psychology journey. Positive Psychology and Happiness Coaching are trending. Everyone one has something that can help you in your own journey.
Encourage yourself to be open minded and engage in the positive. Find your destiny helpers and be grateful to the gifts life brings to you. Being grateful will make you happier. Having a grateful journal is encouraged. Smiling and saying thankful things changes the lives of others and makes a more positive journey for yourself and others. There are university studies that prove a smile and a thank you are the easiest path to feel happier.
POSITIVE AFFIRMATION
Every morning, every day, every evening, take time to say kind things to yourself. You deserve to be kind and happy and that starts with you. There are dozens of things your mind says to yourself but let yourself rejoice in the kind things that will give your brain a boost of happiness. Find your words, use positive language that would make anyone smile, and say this often. Below is an example of something simple. The internet is full of specific positive affirmations. Be specific with your affirmations.
“You are happy, smart, capable, and wonderful. The happiness path is long, and your feet feel perfect on it. You are able to find others that can smile at me. “
Now try:
“I am happy, smart, capable and wonderful. My happiness pathway is not too long, and my feet feel perfect on this path. I am happy and determined to share happiness today. My happiness is contagious, and I can give it to others as a gift with a smile and thanks. I can meet others who smile at me.”
Having ownership of your positive affirmations is important as they will be a reminder to your brain to praise your actions, continue your advancement towards happiness, and acknowledge each action with a positive saying of gratitude.
QUIET CREATIVE CHANGES
As you move through your training in reimagining your life, focusing on manifesting your intentions, dreaming of your goals, and acknowledging your achievements. Try to relax and enjoy the quiet creative changes that are taking place. There is not a fast lane in the speed way to happiness. There is conscious realization that you can control your focus, plan on the objective goal, work to understanding the steps to achievement, and show gratitude for each advancement in your journey.
The goal of obtaining happiness is best obtained by a redirection of our thoughts to redefine your neuropathways. You can not see your neuropathways but they can see, hear, and feel you. The changes you want to achieve a happier life are in your control. Be quite in your creative changes as you don’t need the disruption of opposition from others. This is your joy journey and the path you are on leads to you happiness.
Via Character Strengths test allowed discovery into the top five natural characteristics so you could focus on what you are good at. This provides an easiest journey to a happier you. A COOL YOU recognizes that you are unique, creative, and comfortable being your authentic self. The quite creative changes are enhanced with activities that are aligned with the values that are authentic to you. Working with at the awareness of your strengths: journaling, creating art, music, and that special trait that only you hold, will help achieve the feeling of flow, and it is the flow that helps happiness grow.
RAISING AWARENESS AND RESOLVING TO LIVE IN THE PRESENT
Take a moment every day to close your eyes, give thanks, quite your mind, and focus on mindless time. Mindfulness is often discussed as a contributor to creating a healing well-being. Medication, calming moments, letting thought flow through you, redirecting energy with total relaxation, can all be very healing.
Raising awareness of reactions, focus on intentions, living in the present moment, are solid and scientific solutions with dealing with anxiety or stress. Try to accept stress without owning it. Acknowledge anxiety without answering to it. Focus on your five strengths of your character, your goals, the steps you take to achieve them, acknowledge the positive affirmations you recited this day, the smiles you have as gifts, the smiles others returned. Show appreciated for the happiness you achieved on this day. Contemplate on happiness and write in your Happiness Journal. Read back on what you accomplished yesterday. Write down how you want to contribute to your happiness journey the next day. Stress and anxiety will be redirected, and replaced with goals and successes, that has been realized on your happiness journey.
SCRIPTING TO BE PREPARED FOR ANYTHING
Just as we teach a baby to speak, a child to read, an adult the language and aptitude for a career, every human deserves the language of love, kindness, and achievement that leads to happiness. Try practicing saying what you want out loud. Try writing down what you want to achieve to feel happy. Do not focus too much on a formal outline. Just focus on what will give you that feeling of flow.
Once you focus on what you want to achieve that will make you happy, you can take the time to define the steps to achieve your goals. Anything is possible. If you can dream it, say it, see it, believe it, you can be prepared for recognizing your goals when the opportunity presents itself.
Success comes from recognizing opportunities that come your way. Happiness is supported by scripting your thoughts out, saying them, writing them down, it is your life, and you can be as prepared for the outcome as you want.
Jim Carrey wrote himself a $10 million check before he was famous. He has shared that he wrote this check when he was broke. He post dated the check that he wrote to himself and noted it was for ‘acting services’. He visualized his success. He has said that he put his goal into the universe. He would visualize movie directors telling him they liked his work. He earned about $10 million making a movie and achieving his goals.
Writing the script for happiness goals, is free and easy to do. Focusing on the details of the achievements gives you a strong realization that what you want can be achieved. You are mentally preparing your brain to prove the mental awareness and adaptability to achieve the success you have dreamed of. Dream big. Determine the kindness of a joy-filled life where happiness releases uncertainty, stress, and depression.
THANKFULNESS AND GRATITUDE
Discover that expressing thankfulness and gratitude are tools that support a happier mindset. Two small things that can be done all day, every day, for free, without objections – say “Thank You” often, and smile even more.
A Harvard study “Giving Thanks Can Make You Happier” in Harvard Health (www.health.harvard.edu) shows:
“… that shows in positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationship.”
Gratitude means showing grace to others. Growing in your happiness journey impacts your relationships with others and grace is the binding moments of expressing a positive mood.
Smiling is the fastest and easiest way to share a positive feeling of happiness. Smiling is simple way to share your inner emotion of happiness. Share your happiness with another with a simple smile.
UNIQUE AWARENESS OF YOURSELF
A COOL YOU recognizes that we are all unique and contribute to our environment with very specific and creative gifts. With happiness coaching the goal is to be intentional in your mindful path of redirecting your neuropathways towards your happiness. Your happiness! Your understanding of who you are and what your strengths are and focusing on that.
The High 5 Habit, by Mel Robbins, shows us that by giving yourself a high five in the mirror for five days in a row, you can show more self-love, self-kindness, and self-compassion.
Show yourself some grace and respect, affirmation, positive acknowledgements on your happiness journey. You are accomplishing a lifetime that can be gifted to others. Happiness is yours if you can see it – you can be it.
VALIDATION AND ACCEPTANCE
A COOL YOU recognize the importance of validating thoughts, emotions, and past experiences without judgement. In the “4A’s of Acceptance” by Russ Harris (providence.org), Russ Harris states “the 4 A’s of Acceptance, are Acknowledge, Allow, Accommodate, and Appreciate…. By exploring our emotions in this way usually connects us with values, goals and needs – which in turn points the way to committed action.”
It is important to have validation with our actions, and it is equally as important to validate others with their actions. In our happiness journey, coaching can assist with your acceptance and validation to clarify emotions, define goal setting, conquer confusion, with the goal of validating our accomplishments.
WHOLE, WILD AND WONDERFUL
In A COOL YOU we see you as unique, satisfied, contributing to community, and feeling pretty darn good with the knowledge that you are in control and the master of your own happiness.
